Meet Our Team: Boulder Sports Medicine & Regenerative Orthopaedics

Dynamic Athlete is a physician-owned regenerative medicine and sports medicine practice in Boulder, Colorado. Every team member works under the direct supervision of Aneesh Garg, DO, CAQ, a double board-certified sports medicine physician with a Yale residency, an Andrews Sports Medicine fellowship, and national team physician experience with USA Hockey and U.S. Soccer.

We keep our team small on purpose. When you walk through our door, you are not a chart number routed to the next available provider. You are a person with a specific injury, a specific goal, and a team that knows your name and your treatment plan.

Physician-owned. No hospital system. No private equity. Just clinical results.

The Team Behind Your Recovery

About Our Team

Dynamic Athlete is led by Aneesh Garg, DO, CAQ, a double board-certified sports medicine physician with a Yale residency and Andrews Sports Medicine fellowship. Our clinical team includes McKenna Graham, PA-C, who works directly with Dr. Garg on regenerative procedures including Dynamic PRP+Dynamic Shockwave+, and Dynamic Core+ treatments. Nicole Allison manages all practice operations. Tara Zimmerman coordinates your clinical care from initial consultation through follow-up. Every team member trains under Dr. Garg in the specific protocols and technologies we use. This is a physician-owned practice where the doctor who designed your treatment plan is the same one overseeing every step. One patient described our team as providing world-class care from start to finish.

Yes. McKenna Graham, PA-C, is our physician assistant. She works alongside Dr. Garg in every aspect of clinical care, from patient assessment through regenerative procedures. McKenna is trained in our proprietary protocols including Dynamic PRP+Dynamic Stem Cell+, and Dynamic Shockwave+ therapies. At most clinics, a PA operates independently with minimal physician oversight. At Dynamic Athlete, McKenna works under Dr. Garg’s direct supervision because our protocols require precision that comes from his fellowship training at Andrews Sports Medicine. Dr. Garg is personally involved in every treatment plan and every procedure. No local regenerative medicine practice in Boulder offers this level of physician-PA coordination. Patients consistently describe our team as thorough and attentive.

Dr. Garg is involved in every patient’s care. He personally evaluates every new patient, designs every treatment plan, and performs or directly supervises every regenerative procedure. McKenna Graham, PA-C, supports clinical care under his guidance, but Dr. Garg remains the decision-maker on your treatment approach. This is different from larger practices where you might see a different provider every visit. Dynamic Athlete is a physician-owned practice with a deliberately small team so that Dr. Garg can maintain direct involvement in every case. His fellowship training at Andrews Sports Medicine and experience as Team Physician for USA Hockey and U.S. Soccer guides every decision. One patient noted there was no pressure to commit to treatments he did not need.

Your care starts with a comprehensive evaluation by Dr. Garg, who reviews imaging, medical history, and performs a hands-on examination. Tara Zimmerman, our clinical coordinator, then manages your treatment schedule, follow-up appointments, and any questions between visits. When your treatment involves multiple modalities, such as combining Dynamic Shockwave+ with Dynamic PRP+ or adding Dynamic Mind+ for healing optimization, Dr. Garg sequences everything based on tissue biology and your specific response. Every team member sees your complete treatment record. There is no handoff to a different department or provider you have not met. This coordinated approach is why our patients report outcomes that other clinics cannot replicate. One patient described being blown away by how well her knee is doing after her full protocol.

Dr. Garg completed his sports medicine fellowship at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center (ASMI) in 2015 and is the Founder and Medical Director of the American Shockwave Training Institute (ASTI). He is also teaching faculty at the Regenerative Medicine Training Institute (RMTI) and Rocky Vista University. Every clinical team member trains directly under Dr. Garg in our proprietary Dynamic PRP+Dynamic Stem Cell+Dynamic Shockwave+Dynamic Core+, and Dynamic Mind+ protocols. The difference is that Dr. Garg does not just use regenerative technologies. He teaches other physicians how to use them. No other practice in Boulder or the Front Range has a physician who both trains doctors nationally and treats patients locally. One patient described his care as a clear step above previous treatments elsewhere.

Your Visit & Experience

Your first visit begins with a thorough evaluation by Dr. Garg. He will review your imaging, ask about your history, and perform a detailed physical exam. This is not a rushed 10-minute appointment. Dr. Garg takes time to understand what you have already tried, what has failed, and what your actual goal is. He then explains your options clearly, including whether regenerative treatment is even appropriate for your situation. If combined modalities like Dynamic Shockwave+ with Dynamic PRP+ or Dynamic Mind+ with shockwave make sense, he will explain why. At most clinics, you see a PA, get imaging ordered, and leave. At Dynamic Athlete, you leave your first visit with a clear diagnosis and a treatment plan. One patient appreciated the honesty and felt no pressure for unnecessary treatments.

Initial consultations with Dr. Garg typically run 30 to 45 minutes because he performs a comprehensive evaluation rather than a quick screen. Treatment appointments vary by procedure. Dynamic Shockwave+ sessions are approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Dynamic PRP+ and Dynamic Stem Cell+ procedures take 45 minutes to an hour depending on the number of areas treated. Dynamic Core+ (EMSELLA) sessions are 28 minutes, and Dynamic Mind+ (EXOMIND) sessions run approximately 20 minutes. Dr. Garg does not overbook his schedule because regenerative procedures require precision and full attention. This is the opposite of a high-volume clinic. You are never rushed through a treatment. Patients frequently mention that the team took time to explain everything before, during, and after their procedure.

We treat everyone from weekend hikers to professional athletes and everything in between. Dr. Garg serves as Team Physician for USA Hockey and U.S. Soccer, so he brings that level of care to every patient regardless of competitive level. The majority of our patients are active adults in Boulder and the Front Range who want to stay active, avoid surgery, and recover faster from injuries that are limiting their lifestyle. Whether you are a competitive cyclist, a recreational skier, a runner dealing with chronic knee pain, or a parent who just wants to keep up with your kids, our Dynamic PRP+Dynamic Shockwave+, and Dynamic Stem Cell+ protocols are designed around your goals. One former NCAA athlete described the care as world-class and worth every penny.

Yes. Mila is our Sheepadoodle therapy puppy, and she is part of the Dynamic Athlete experience. Mila greets patients and helps create a welcoming environment that feels different from a typical medical office. This is intentional. Regenerative treatments like Dynamic PRP+ and Dynamic Stem Cell+ can feel unfamiliar to patients who have only experienced conventional approaches, and a calm, comfortable environment reduces anxiety and supports better outcomes. Dr. Garg designed Dynamic Athlete as a boutique sports medicine practice, not a sterile high-volume clinic. Every detail, from Mila to the office layout to the one-on-one physician attention, is built around the patient experience. Patients consistently describe our office as welcoming and unlike any doctor’s office they have visited.

Credentials, Trust & What We Treat

Three things no competitor can match. First, Dr. Garg is the only physician in Boulder with a fellowship from Andrews Sports Medicine, the same institution that treats MLB, NFL, and NCAA athletes. Second, he is the Founder and Medical Director of ASTI, meaning he trains other doctors in the shockwave and regenerative techniques he uses on your body. Third, Dynamic Athlete is physician-owned with no hospital system or private equity overhead dictating your treatment. Your treatment plan is based on what will get you the best result, not what generates the most revenue. This combination of elite training, national teaching authority, and independent ownership does not exist at any other practice in the Boulder market. Over 90% of our patients self-report a 75% or greater improvement following treatment.

Yes. Dynamic Athlete is owned and operated by Aneesh Garg, DO, CAQ. This matters more than most patients realize. In physician-owned practices, the doctor who treats you is the same person who decides which technologies to invest in, which protocols to develop, and how much time to spend with each patient. There is no corporate entity overriding clinical decisions. Dr. Garg developed our Dynamic PRP+Dynamic Stem Cell+Dynamic Shockwave+Dynamic Core+, and Dynamic Mind+ protocols because he controls the practice. At hospital-affiliated or PE-backed clinics, physicians often cannot offer treatments that the parent organization has not approved. Dr. Garg’s Yale training, Andrews fellowship, and USA Hockey team physician experience all inform how he runs this practice. One patient who explored several clinics appreciated the honesty and sincerity.

We treat musculoskeletal injuries across every major joint and region: knees, shoulders, hips, ankles, elbows, wrists, spine, and SI joint. Specific conditions include tendon injuries, ligament tears, meniscus tears, rotator cuff tears, arthritis, plantar fasciitis, stress fractures, and chronic pain that has not responded to conventional treatment. Our Dynamic PRP+ and Dynamic Stem Cell+ protocols address tissue repair. Dynamic Shockwave+ targets inflammation and accelerates healing. Dynamic Mind+ (EXOMIND) supports concussion recovery and healing optimization. Dynamic Core+ (EMSELLA) treats pelvic floor dysfunction. Dr. Garg’s training at Andrews Sports Medicine gives him expertise in conditions that are frequently misdiagnosed, particularly SI joint dysfunction. One patient had her SI joint correctly identified after years of being told nothing was wrong, and is now pain-free.

Dr. Garg and the team manage your entire recovery. Regenerative medicine is not a single injection and a handshake. Our protocols, including Dynamic PRP+Dynamic Stem Cell+, and Dynamic Shockwave+, are sequenced over weeks based on how your tissue responds. Tara Zimmerman coordinates your follow-up schedule. McKenna Graham, PA-C, assists with ongoing clinical assessment. Dr. Garg evaluates your progress at each appointment and adjusts the treatment plan based on real outcomes, not a predetermined checklist. If adding Dynamic Mind+ for healing optimization or Dynamic Core+ for foundational support would improve your result, he recommends it. This continuity of care is why our outcomes differ from clinics where you see a different provider each visit. One patient waited 18 months to post his review to confirm the results were lasting.

Absolutely. Dr. Garg reviews outside imaging and records as part of every initial evaluation. In many cases, he identifies issues that were missed or misdiagnosed elsewhere. His fellowship training at Andrews Sports Medicine included advanced musculoskeletal imaging interpretation, which means he is reading your MRI with the same skill set used for professional athletes. Bring everything you have. It saves time, avoids duplicate imaging, and gives Dr. Garg a complete picture of what you have already tried. Tara Zimmerman can coordinate record transfers before your appointment if you contact us in advance. This diagnostic precision is one reason our Dynamic PRP+ and Dynamic Shockwave+ outcomes exceed what patients experience at other clinics. One patient’s son was correctly diagnosed after another provider recommended unnecessary surgery.

If you are dealing with a musculoskeletal injury or chronic pain that has not improved with rest, physical therapy, cortisone, or surgery, and you want to explore non-surgical regenerative options, Dynamic Athlete is built for exactly that situation. Dr. Garg will tell you honestly whether our Dynamic PRP+Dynamic Stem Cell+, or Dynamic Shockwave+ protocols can help your specific condition. If regenerative medicine is not appropriate for you, he will tell you that too. This practice is built on honesty, not upselling. Dr. Garg’s credentials, including his Yale residency, Andrews fellowship, and national team physician experience, mean you are getting an evaluation from one of the most qualified sports medicine physicians in Colorado. One former collegiate athlete wishes she had found Dynamic Athlete before her surgeries.
