At Dynamic Athlete, we offer something no one else in Boulder does: a complete, transformative protocol combining EMTT (Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy) with both Focused Shockwave and Radial Pressure Wave Therapy.
This combination produces unmatched results for chronic pain, overuse injuries, and slow-healing musculoskeletal conditions. Our multi-device, multi-layer approach treats the root cause—not just the symptoms—and works even when other treatments have failed.
EMTT is a non-invasive, high-energy magnetic field therapy designed to stimulate tissue regeneration deep inside the body.
It delivers rapid pulsed electromagnetic fields to joints, tendons, ligaments, and bones. This supports cellular metabolism, enhances healing potential, and accelerates recovery in areas that are difficult to treat with shockwave alone.
Unlike general PEMF devices, EMTT delivers clinical-grade energy levels that penetrate deeper and trigger a stronger biological response—ideal for degenerative joint conditions, chronic tendon irritation, and deep-seated inflammation.
Focused Shockwave uses acoustic energy to stimulate healing in deeper tissue structures. This highly targeted wave reaches damaged areas with precision, triggering a cascade of biological responses that:
Focused shockwave is ideal for pinpoint pain, joint issues, tendon injuries, and chronic inflammatory conditions that haven’t responded to physical therapy or injections.
Often called “radial shockwave,” radial pressure wave therapy is technically a mechanical pressure wave that works more broadly on surface-level tissues.
While some clinics offer radial wave alone, we use it as a support tool—not a stand-alone solution—because it lacks the depth and precision needed for deeper structures.
Most clinics offer only one type of technology—often just radial pressure wave under the label of “shockwave”, “stemwave”, or “softwave”. Others offer focused shockwave but lack the regenerative boost of EMTT. Dynamic Athlete offers all three and more importantly, we understand how to use them together.
Our integrated protocol:
(Achilles, patellar, rotator cuff, gluteal)
(knee, shoulder, hip)
Scar tissue and fascial adhesions can limit movement and prolong pain long after an injury or surgery. Our shockwave protocols (radial + focused) break down restrictive scar tissue while improving local circulation and cellular turnover. EMTT enhances this effect by stimulating underlying structures and accelerating collagen remodeling.
We commonly treat:
This combination allows us to not only relieve pain but restore movement in areas that once felt “stuck.”
Many patients come to us after “trying shockwave” at another clinic. In most cases, they received radial pressure wave only or unfocused shockwave, often at low energy and without clinical targeting.
At Dynamic Athlete, we combine all three:
It’s not just about the tools—it’s how they’re used. Our team is clinically trained and adjusts each treatment based on your diagnosis, tissue quality, and healing stage.
We don’t guess. We assess, treat, and track outcomes with purpose and precision.
Each session includes:
No injections, no medications, and no downtime. Patients often report relief and mobility gains after the first few sessions, with optimal progress over a short series of treatments.
Most branded “shockwave” treatments use unfocused or less precise sound waves only. They do not reach deep tendons or joints. Our system uses focused acoustic energy and EMTT—with higher intensity, targeted depth, and a regenerative protocol based on your diagnosis.
No. EMTT uses higher intensity fields and frequency ranges optimized for tissue regeneration and orthopedic recovery. It is FDA-registered and CE-certified for use in musculoskeletal pain.
EMTT feels like a pulsing field over the body, while shockwave may create a rhythmic tapping sensation on the treatment area. Most patients find treatments very tolerable—and we adjust intensity based on your needs.
It depends on whether your condition is acute or chronic, as well as its severity and your personal goals. Acute cases often respond within 3–4 sessions, while chronic or more complex conditions may require 6–10 for optimal results.
Yes. We routinely treat patients who have failed PT, injections, or other modalities. This combination works at a biological and structural level—stimulating the body’s natural healing systems.
Yes. Pre-surgical treatment helps prepare the tissue, reduce inflammation, and improve healing conditions. Post-surgically, shockwave and EMTT improve recovery speed, break down scar tissue, and enhance long-term outcomes. We often support patients both before and after orthopedic procedures.
At Dynamic Athlete, we proudly care for patients from Boulder, the entire Front Range, and across the United States. While our clinic is based in Boulder, CO, many patients travel nationwide to experience our advanced, results-driven care.

Rachel graduated high school this year and will be attending the University of Wyoming in the fall to pursue a pre-medical track. She hopes to go on to medical school afterwards to specialize in orthopedics and sports medicine.
Rachel found her passion for this field through many sports injuries growing up, and hopes to help other athletes overcome the challenges she has faced. In her free time (when she’s not injured), Rachel enjoys running, lifting weights and spending time with her family.
Olivia is an intern for Dynamic Athlete and has been with us since August 2023. She is professional ice skating coach and ice program director, working with hockey skaters and figure skaters of all ages and backgrounds. She is passionate about psychology and incorporating mental health into coaching, training, and injury recovery.
Olivia received her Bachelors of Science in Cognitive Neuroscience Psychology from the University of Denver and was a student athlete on their figure skating team. She is seeking to pursue a masters degree in Sports and Performance Psychology so she can continue to serve the athletes in her community.
When Olivia isn’t assisting with Dynamic Athlete, she enjoys traveling, attending Colorado Avalanche games, spending time with friends and family, and being creative through photography and modeling.
