Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common conditions affecting Boulder’s runners, hikers, trail athletes, climbers, and active adults. Long descents, steep trail changes, aggressive uphill running, repetitive impact, barefoot training, and high weekly mileage all contribute to plantar fascia overload.
Dynamic Athlete Sports Medicine & Regenerative Orthopaedics provides Boulder’s only complete shockwave system—Focused ESWT, Radial Pressure Waves (RPW), and EMTT—to reduce heel pain, improve tissue quality, and accelerate recovery.
Dynamic Athlete is the destination clinic for those seeking optimal outcomes through unmatched precision, clinical expertise, and evidence-based regenerative medicine.
Shockwave improves circulation, reduces inflammation, and promotes healing at the cellular level.
Dynamic Athlete uses the full stack for maximal effect:
Targets deeper tissue and the plantar fascia attachment to promote biologic repair and increased blood flow.
Addresses superficial fascia, muscle tightness in the calf, and surrounding soft-tissue dysfunction.
Enhances cellular metabolism, reduces chronic irritation, and improves neuromuscular responsiveness.
Pain reduction
Improved tissue elasticity
Decreased morning pain
Better push-off strength
Faster return to training
Healthier foot mechanics
This is a significantly more effective approach than basic ESWT alone.
Boulder’s activity patterns create a perfect environment for plantar fascia irritation:
Shockwave directly improves the tissue driving the pain.
Assessment of foot mechanics, soft-tissue behavior, and heel tenderness patterns.
Ultrasound may be used when clinically appropriate.
Shockwave is applied to the plantar fascia, heel, and calf complex using ESWT, RPW, and EMTT.
Shockwave is applied to the plantar fascia, heel, and calf complex using ESWT, RPW, and EMTT.
Many patients experience improvement within 3–5 sessions.
Includes return-to-running protocols, loading progression, footwear adjustments, and calf mobility strategies.
Patients choose Dynamic Athlete because plantar fasciitis treatment here uses a three-tier shockwave system combined with physician-directed precision.
As a regenerative medicine expert, Dr. Aneesh Garg is a national leader, educator, and consultant in regenerative medicine. He serves as Medical Director of the American Shockwave Training Institute and Teaching Faculty for the Regenerative Medicine Training Institute, where he trains clinicians in biologic dosing, shockwave protocols, and ultrasound-guided procedures.
Dr. Garg trains clinicians across the country on plantar fascia dosing, progression strategies, and integration with regenerative care when needed.
Dynamic Athlete is the only clinic offering ESWT + RPW + EMTT as a unified system for superior heel pain recovery.
Every plantar fascia treatment sequence is supervised and structured by Dr. Garg.
Protocols support runners, hikers, climbers, walkers, and active-aging adults who depend on their feet daily.
Aneesh Garg, DO, CAQ is a nationally recognized sports and regenerative medicine physician known for precision ultrasound, advanced biologics, and full-stack shockwave protocols. He treats active adults and athletes across Boulder who want to avoid surgery, heal naturally, and return to performance with confidence.
Shockwave increases cell activity, improves microcirculation, and stimulates healing in the plantar fascia, reducing pain and restoring movement.
Most patients experience relief in three to six sessions, depending on severity, activity demands, and tissue response.
Patients may feel brief intensity during treatment, but discomfort is temporary and quickly resolves. Most tolerate it well.
Yes. Many cases benefit from biologic pairing, where shockwave primes the plantar fascia before PRP to enhance tissue responsiveness and healing.
With degrees and backgrounds in both Interior Design and Business, Nicole brought Dynamic Athlete’s office space to life – transforming an empty shell of a space into the sleek, sports boutique you see now.
She handles all things non-clinical and keeps Dynamic Athlete running behind the scenes. Having grown up in Arkansas, Nicole takes care of our patients with a genuine Southern hospitality you won’t find anywhere else.
Always looking to learn and grow, Nicole loves to travel and experience new cultures, take classes on new skills or just experiment at home with baking, knitting, sewing, gardening, you name it.
Rachel graduated high school this year and will be attending the University of Wyoming in the fall to pursue a pre-medical track. She hopes to go on to medical school afterwards to specialize in orthopedics and sports medicine.
Rachel found her passion for this field through many sports injuries growing up, and hopes to help other athletes overcome the challenges she has faced. In her free time (when she’s not injured), Rachel enjoys running, lifting weights and spending time with her family.
Olivia is an intern for Dynamic Athlete and has been with us since August 2023. She is professional ice skating coach and ice program director, working with hockey skaters and figure skaters of all ages and backgrounds. She is passionate about psychology and incorporating mental health into coaching, training, and injury recovery.
Olivia received her Bachelors of Science in Cognitive Neuroscience Psychology from the University of Denver and was a student athlete on their figure skating team. She is seeking to pursue a masters degree in Sports and Performance Psychology so she can continue to serve the athletes in her community.
When Olivia isn’t assisting with Dynamic Athlete, she enjoys traveling, attending Colorado Avalanche games, spending time with friends and family, and being creative through photography and modeling.
