EMSELLA Pelvic Floor Therapy in Boulder — Strengthen Your Core, Elevate Your Performance

Your pelvic floor is more than a foundation for continence—it’s the powerhouse behind your stability, posture, and performance. For athletes, postpartum women, and active adults alike, pelvic floor weakness can affect everything from athletic control to daily comfort. That’s where EMSELLA Pelvic Floor Therapy comes in. Boulder athletes—from Flagstaff to Chautauqua—depend on precise, fast recovery.

At Dynamic Athlete, we use the EMSELLA system to strengthen deep pelvic and core muscles using non-invasive electromagnetic stimulation. It’s a breakthrough treatment for both performance enhancement and pelvic health, helping patients regain control, stability, and confidence—no downtime required.

What Is EMSELLA Therapy?

EMSELLA uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to stimulate deep pelvic floor contractions. In one 28-minute session, the technology produces more than 11,000 supramaximal contractions—something that can’t be achieved through traditional exercise or Kegels.

These contractions re-educate the pelvic floor muscles, improving neuromuscular control, blood flow, and support for the bladder, core, and spine.

How EMSELLA Works — and Why It’s Different

Mechanism Physiologic Effect Clinical Benefit
HIFEM energy Stimulates deep pelvic muscle contractions Improved core strength and bladder control
Neuromuscular re-education Enhances nerve signaling to pelvic muscles Better coordination and posture
Increased circulation Promotes tissue oxygenation and tone Faster recovery and improved endurance
Non-invasive therapy No needles or downtime Comfortable and convenient sessions

Unlike standard pelvic exercises, EMSELLA penetrates deep into the musculature—creating a strong, coordinated pelvic foundation essential for athletic performance and everyday function.

Who Can Benefit from EMSELLA Therapy?

EMSELLA is effective for both men and women, including:
• Athletes looking to improve balance, stability, and core performance
• Postpartum women restoring pelvic strength
• Individuals experiencing urinary leakage or urgency
• Men with prostate-related weakness or post-surgical recovery
• Anyone seeking improved posture, control, and pelvic health

The Dynamic Athlete Difference — Combining EMSELLA with Shockwave

Dynamic Athlete is the only Boulder clinic offering EMSELLA in combination with Focused Shockwave and EMTT for enhanced tissue regeneration and neuromuscular activation. This synergistic approach primes the area for better results—improving strength, tone, and function faster than EMSELLA alone.

We also integrate EMSELLA into comprehensive recovery programs that include PRP, Shockwave, and targeted performance rehabilitation. Dynamic Athlete is not a place to price shop, but a destination for those seeking optimal outcomes through precision, expertise, and evidence-based care.

Results and Recovery

Most patients feel improvement after just one session, with optimal results seen after 4–6 treatments.
Reported benefits include:
• Stronger core and pelvic stability
• Reduced urinary leakage and urgency
• Improved posture and lower back support
• Better athletic control and endurance
• Enhanced confidence in daily life and performance

Because EMSELLA is non-invasive and comfortable, patients can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.

Coming in with upper shoulder and neck pain, I felt fully heard throughout the entire intake process and it was concluded that I had a bad trap strain.

We accessed my options about helping me through the symptoms of upper neck and shoulder pain and discussed options for recovery. We tried the EMTT therapy and shockwave, which increased blood flow to the area and felt like a deep tissue massage. The details were discussed in a really comprehensive way. Afterward I felt a lot of relief, increased mobility, and honestly, strength return to the area. As well as my confidence about my movement and mobility in the future too.

Initially, when I was first injured I wasn’t sure if I would heal fully or would be looking at limited recovery options, but with their help at Dynamic Health, I see the world with hope again and know I can continue running, hiking, doing yoga, and exercising to my heart’s content.

I can’t imagine a better place to go to for help, I was heard and given time and never rushed, and given a full run down of my options for treatment, all the resources, and didn’t even know that was possible in this era of mostly standardized healthcare. Here I was an individual, and truly cared for.

It brings tears to my eyes how supported through my lowest point I felt here. Thank you so, so much.

I’ve struggled with Morton’s Neuroma for 6+ years, managing the issue but never finding a way to eliminate it. I came in after a flare up post a marathon and started shockwave therapy. After the first session my pain decreased by at least 50%, and by the 4th treatment I’m at 95%. I cannot recommend Dr. Garg enough.

Dr. Aneesh Garg is definitely on an elite level. If you are in need of an orthopedic doctor you can stop looking and make an appointment. His willingness to help me figure out my wrist problem was unmatched by any other doctor. He went out of his way to work with my schedule so I could be seen right away and start fixing the problem. He is kind and truly cares about his patients and their physical ailments. He is about finding a treatment that is non surgical and the least invasive to get you in the healing process.

As a former NCAA athlete, I struggled to find the level of care I received in school after graduating. Enter Dr. Garg. The level of expertise and detail his team showcases is better than any care I’ve experienced. I had been dealing with chronic pain and inflammation for 2 years before seeing him. After one treatment of shockwave therapy, I have been able to do things that I thought I’d never do again. This is world class care worth every penny.

I just completed my 3rd shockwave treatment. My favorite thing about it was immediately post treatment I noticed the absence of pain and tightness in my neck. This served as a helpful reminder for me to remember what my body should be feeling like. Sometimes when you’re in the pain cave, it’s hard to remember what your non-pain body felt like. Shockwave is super interesting and I am happy I went for it. The practitioner did a great job explaining what she was doing, what to expect and made me feel so comfortable!
